Meet Jason
Jason McCray is a 36-year old Wichita Falls, Texas native. He developed a love for the game of golf at the age of 12 and began working at his first golf job in 1988 where his only compensation was golf playing privileges. He played on his high school golf team where he was captain for 3 years out of his 4 years. He turned professional 1 year out of high school and began teaching youth golf clinics in the summer of 1993. He continued working as a Wichita Falls area golf professional for 7 years at 3 area golf courses, while developing a passion for teaching. By 1999, Jason’s clientele base was over 100 students. That year, not only did he obtain PGA credentials in July, he also conducted 697 individual lessons.

In July of 2000, he was hired by Robert Singletary, Head Golf Professional at Las Colinas Country Club in Irving, Texas. Jason considers this a turning point in his career as he learned from Robert, who is a master club fitter and a great golf instructor. In 2001, Robert introduced Jason to a well-known Dallas based golf instructor and author Eben Dennis. Eben recognized Jason’s talents in teaching golf and encouraged him to begin teaching his approach.

Jason estimates that as of mid 2010, he has taught over 5,200 golf lessons in his 18 year career as an instructor. Jason currently resides in Irving, Texas with his family (pictured below right.) Jason is the VP of Operations of A Shred 2 Pieces and teaches at Sinclair's Golf Training Center at Texas Star in Euless, TX.
